NOTARIZATION

Three Options Available

At Docudraft & Notary Service, we offer three convenient options for notary services to cater to your specific needs: mobile in-person, in-person at our secure location in Palmetto, Florida, or remote online notary. Each option is designed to provide you with flexibility and efficiency in completing your notarial acts.

1. Mobile In-Person Notary:

  • Our mobile in-person notary service is ideal for those requiring on-the-go notarization within Manatee and Sarasota County. Fees are determined based on your location within the county.

  • There's no mileage fee if you're located in Palmetto, Parrish, Ellenton, Downtown Bradenton, or Memphis. For other areas, a mileage fee applies. Please see our map below for additional mileage fee information.

  • The service fee is $7 per notarial stamp, with additional charges applicable based on your location.

  • To schedule an appointment, simply select the mobile in-person notary option and proceed to our booking calendar. Please note that for safety reasons, our notaries do not enter private residences.

2. In-Person at the Notary Location:

  • If you prefer an in-person notary appointment, you can visit our secure location in Palmetto, Florida. Please note that you'll be meeting in an outdoor setting within a commercial area.

  • Similar to the mobile service, fees are $3 per notarial stamp, with additional charges based on the services required.

  • Appointments can be scheduled online, and you'll be guided through a questionnaire to prepare for your visit.

3. Remote Online Notary Service:

  • Our remote online notary service offers convenience and accessibility. A $25 technology fee is applicable, along with $7 for each notarial stamp required.

  • Appointments can be scheduled online, and you'll be guided through the process of document submission and identity verification.

  • Please ensure you have access to a camera and microphone for the online session.

Safety & Legal Protocols

Avoiding Issues not just for us but for you.

Capacity Verification by Our Notary

Ensuring that every document signing is legally sound and ethically upheld is paramount to us. Our experienced notaries are trained to assess the capacity of each signer diligently. If any concerns arise regarding the signer's capacity, our notaries will engage in a thorough series of questions. This process is designed to confirm that the signer comprehends the documents they are about to sign, safeguarding the integrity of the transaction.

Safety and Compliance at the Forefront

Rest assured, our remote online notary service adheres strictly to state regulations. We refrain from notarizing documents that are prohibited by state law, particularly those that pose potential risks, such as certain types of powers of attorney. Our commitment to safeguarding our clients extends to our decision not to notarize estate planning documents online, mitigating the risk of exposure to maleficence.

Secure Notarization with Body Camera Recording

To enhance security and ensure transparency in every notarization, our notaries are equipped with body cameras that record the entire notary act. This measure is in place to safeguard both the signer and our notaries. Additionally, it reinforces our commitment to strict legal compliance, providing an added layer of assurance for all parties involved.

Protection Against Undue Influence

At our company, we prioritize the integrity of every signing process. If our notaries detect signs that a signer may be under undue influence and reluctant to proceed, they will take immediate action. This includes requesting all individuals except the signer to temporarily leave the room for a private discussion. This protocol is implemented to safeguard the signer's legal rights and ensure that no external pressures compromise their decision-making process.

Witness Policy

Please note that our notaries do not act as witnesses during signings. This policy ensures that signers have the opportunity to arrange for their own witnesses when required for document execution. This approach maintains the integrity of the notarial process while allowing signers to involve their chosen individuals in witnessing the signing event.
